Transitional Kitchen

Before and After Kitchen Makeover – Traditional to Transitional

Before Style: Traditional

Before List of client’s dislikes:

  • The space was always so dark
  • The aisles between the countertops were so narrow that the clients were always bumping into each other
  • The kitchen looked cluttered and busy; the upper cabinets were so narrow as to be unusable.
  • The peninsula bar was so poorly proportioned that no one used it
  • One sink was not enough
  • Lighting was really poor; too many dark spots
  • Overall layout was impractical
  • Having the stove in the island wasted a lot of space

Cafeteria Re-design for a Downtown Software Company

Style:Nondescript Modern
Client’s Dislikes:Overall the place lacked personality & any sort of “pop”
The space was uninspiring and bland
Staircase/Railing was a bad design in the 70’s when it was installed!
Great Room

Before and After Great Room Makeover

Before Style: 80’s modern with Southwestern style furnishings

Before List of Client’s Dislikes:

  • The entire house looked dated and depressing
  • The family room look cluttered with stuff everywhere; the fireplace overpowered the room
  • There were 3 different floor levels around the family room making the area even busier – thiunk 70’s Brady Bunch J
  • They used the same stained oak on the floor, windows, doors, beams, baseboards and all the other trim throughout the house
  • The dated cove lighting ( 8” cans & fluorescents) didn’t serve any purpose
  • The Tuscan columns didn’t match anything
  • The windows were busy and distracting
  • The faux wall to the right of the fireplace closed off the upper level from the lower level
